Holy Name Medical Center — Financial Assistance & Charity Care

Teaneck, Bergen County, NJ

Under New Jersey law, Holy Name Medical Center must offer free or discounted care to eligible low-income and uninsured patients. Here's what the law guarantees — and how to apply.

What New Jersey law guarantees

Under New Jersey Hospital Care Payment Assistance Program (N.J.S.A. 26:2H-18.60), Holy Name Medical Center must provide FREE care to uninsured patients at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and discounted care for patients up to 300%.

This is the legal minimum — Holy Name Medical Center may offer more generous help. The only way to know is to apply, and applying is always free.

If your qualified medical bills are more than 30% of your yearly income, New Jersey covers everything above that share in full — once per family each year, on top of the sliding-scale discount.
